Linen is renowned for its spectacular durability & long life. The tensile strength of linen thread is twice as high as that of cotton and three times that of wool and over time linen textiles become softer and actually improves in comfort.

Linen is highly hygroscopic. When in contact with the skin, the fibres absorb perspiration and release the moisture to the air, creating a fabric self-cooled by evaporation.

Clothes made of linen possess high air permeability and allows the body to breathe. That is why linen always feels fresh and cool and is perfect for the Indian summer!

LINEN LOVES THE PLANET

Linen is perhaps the most eco-friendly fabric.

The flax plant grows naturally and requires less water and fewer pesticides than cotton. It is gentle on the land and is easy to incorporate into modern crop rotation cycles, preventing soil depletion.

The industrial processes of spinning and weaving have very little to no impact on the environment as it uses five to twenty times less water and energy than the production of cotton or other synthetic fabrics.

Because it’s a natural fiber, flax linen is biodegradable and recyclable. The whole flax plant can be used, leaving no waste.
